VAN NUYS, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 06/13/08 -- Animax Entertainment, an Emmy winning interactive and creative production studio, announced today that Sabri Sansoy joins the company as Chief Technology Officer. Sansoy will lead the development of next generation MMOs and virtual worlds as well as incubating original game development and publishing.

Sansoy enters Animax with a proven track record of technical innovation, vision, and leadership. As Vice President of Interactive Entertainment Technology at Game Show Network (GSN), Sansoy led a cross-functional team of domestic and offshore employees in the research and development of innovative technologies to support multiplatform initiatives. During his tenure, his team was nominated four times for an Emmy for their work in interactive television. Prior to joining GSN, Sansoy was CTO of Icebox.com, a groundbreaking internet company that created original animated online programming.

Sansoy received his undergraduate degree in Astrophysics from the University of New Mexico and received his masters in Aeronautics & Astronautics from MIT. He has worked on several high profile projects as an aerospace engineer. He was featured in People, Popular Science and Smithsonian's Air & Space Magazine for his contributions on Team Remax, which was an attempt to fly a manned balloon nonstop around the world in the stratosphere. He has also engineered components for Indian Motorcycles and worked on several US Air Force rocket and satellite systems.
