SEATTLE, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Boeing BA today named Frederick C. Kiga vice president, State and Local Government Relations and Global Corporate Citizenship for the Northwest region, reporting to Tod Hullin, senior vice president, Public Policy, and supporting Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Puget Sound. Kiga, who currently is Boeing's director of State and Local Government Relations, Northwest Region, replaces Bob Watt, who retired at the end of 2007.

Kiga joined Boeing in 2007. Prior to that, he was the director, Corporate and Government Relations, for Russell Investments in Tacoma, Wash. From 1997 to 2003 he held two high-level positions with the State of Washington: director of the Department of Revenue and later chief of staff to Gov. Gary Locke. He was a senior manager in the Seattle office of Arthur Andersen before his positions with the state, and a vice president of Washington Mutual Bank in Seattle prior to that.

Kiga holds three degrees from the University of Washington: bachelors and masters degrees in business administration and a juris doctor from the School of Law. He currently serves on the University of Washington's Board of Regents and is active in a number of other local business and community organizations.
