Accompanied by Rabbi Alan Silverstein, Father Anthony Randazzo, and Susan Werk, participants in the Interfaith Israel Experience will visit sacred Jewish and Christian sites while learning about the history of each religion.

The Interfaith Israel Experience will take place from January 29 to February 5, 2012. Participants will be accompanied by Rabbi Alan Silverstein, PhD, the leader of Congregation Agudath Israel; Father Anthony Randazzo, the pastor of Notre Dame Church; and Susan Werk, the education director at Congregation Agudath Israel.

* Qumran ruins, which were home to an ancient sect that authored the Dead Sea Scrolls;
* Tomb of King David, a much-revered site on Mount Zion in Jerusalem;
* Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, an oasis containing walking trails, archaeological sites, and a diversity of flora and fauna;
* Modiin, the site where the Hanukah story took place.

Highlights of the Interfaith Israel Experience include welcoming the Sabbath along with hundreds of others at the Western Wall, attending optional Shabbat services at a synagogue in Jerusalem, attending optional Sunday morning mass, and engaging in a special dialogue with members of Jerusalems Christian community. There are also plenty of age-appropriate activities planned for children joining the tour.
