The COPD Foundation will host COPD8USA, a multi-disciplinary, Continuing Medical Education (CME) conference, June 14-15, 2013, Hilton Chicago, 720 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago, Ill. The event provides crucial clinical and scientific knowledge for primary care physicians, pulmonologists, registered nurses, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, medical directors, care coordinators and anyone involved with the management of individuals with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), the nation’s third leading cause of death.
“COPD8USA is a unique opportunity to interact face-to-face with delegates and speakers in order to share practical information for care management, as well as the latest in clinical and basic research,” says John Walsh, president and co-founder of the COPD Foundation.
The conference will highlight cutting-edge clinical, scientific and care delivery issues and how changes in the current healthcare and COPD landscape can be implemented to positively impact patient care. It will include robust plenary sessions, as well as three topical breakout tracks:
Walsh adds, “This important and influential event builds upon the incredible success of COPD7USA and the European parent conference series’ COPD8, and reflects our commitment to improving life for individuals affected by COPD.”
The COPD Foundation has partnered with the University of Nebraska Medical Center to provide continuing education credits to several different categories of healthcare providers.
