Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation, (MOPHSF) is proud
to announce its Three-Star Sponsorship of the National Memorial Day
Parade, Monday, May 30th, in Washington, DC. As supporting sponsor there
will be a Purple Heart float with OIF/OEF Purple Heart Wounded Warriors
riding with great American actor, Gary Sinise.
The 2011 National Memorial Day Parade, steps off at 2:00 p.m. and will
be broadcast on the Military Channel, Pentagon Channel with extensive
news coverage by Fox News Channel. Watch for the Purple Heart
float with Purple Heart wounded warriors riding alongside Gary Sinise.
The National Memorial Day Parade is our nation’s largest Memorial Day
event. Each year, more than 250,000 spectators and 3,000 participants
convene in Washington, DC to honor our heroes who have worn the uniform.
The Parade includes hundreds of active duty troops each year, featuring
many of the military's most legendary units, among them the "Old Guard"
and the Marine Band, dubbed "The President's Own." Ceremonial units
representing each branch of the military lead off the parade, serving as
an honor guard for the year's Grand Marshals, while the parade's "grand
finale" consists of hundreds of active duty troops in battle dress, many
of whom have just recently returned home from deployment on the front

non-profit Veteran Service Organization, headquartered in Annandale, VA
and offers innovative programs and services to veterans and their
families. MOPHSF also provides financial resources to the Military Order
of Purple Heart, of the USA, and the Ladies Auxiliary to promote
Patriotism, Fraternalism, and the Preservation of America's military
history. The MOPH represents veterans’ interests before the Congress,
the Veterans Administration, the Department of Defense and elsewhere.
The National Service Officers provide assistance and representation for
all veterans, their dependents and survivors, in obtaining their
rightful entitlements and benefits. All service is FREE.
