Stocks bounce back as General Growth, Lincoln lead

U.S. financial stocks rise in early activity, led higher by commercial real estate investment trust General Growth Properties , which jumps 16% after it staved off bankruptcy once more, as creditors are continuing talks with the debt-soaked firm despite missed payment deadlines.
