Shareholders vote to declassify Vulcan's board
The board of Vulcan Materials Co. (NYSE: VMC) lost three advisory votes Friday afternoon at the annual stockholders meeting. At the meeting, which was held in the Harbert Center in Birmingham, shareholders voted to recommend that Vulcan declassify its board, make its election by a simple-majority vote, and to eliminate super majority votes altogether.
