Mr. McKenzie, who has well over 30 years of industry experience, is a specialist in the areas of administrative law, civil litigation, employment law, lobbying law, privacy law, immigration law, and refugee law. He is a practicing member of the Law Society of Alberta and a non-practicing member of the Law Societies of British Columbia and Saskatchewan. Prior to joining the Hansen & Company practice, Gordon served as a Board Member of the Refugee Protection Division of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada in Calgary, Alberta (seven-year mandate). Mr. McKenzie is also a former part-time employment adjudicator under Part III of the Canada Labour Code in Saskatchewan
During his collegiate career, Gordon earned a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree prior to obtaining his Bachelor of Laws degree. He is a member and activist with the Wildrose Party of Alberta and the Conservative Party of Canada. Mr. McKenzie is also the former President of the Law Student’s Association at the University of Saskatchewan, College of Law. In addition, he was also a fundraising activist with the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada as well as a participant on a weekly televised political panel in Saskatchewan.
